Concerts on the Quad Poster

Concerts on the Quad is a poster I designed for a fictional summer nighttime concert series at Illinois State University. Since all of the event information was already provided, the main challenge was figuring out how to organize everything in a way that was easy to read while still giving the poster its own personality.

I used changes in type size, placement, and color to create a clear hierarchy and help separate the different pieces of information. I chose a darker background paired with bright, warm colors to give the poster a summery feeling while still connecting it to an event happening at night. I also added simple illustrations and graphic elements throughout the background to bring more energy into the design without taking attention away from the event information.
